ValueSniper basics, without the fog.
Short answers for using saved searches, alerts, watchlists, pricing estimates, and billing.
Create a saved search
Use specific keywords, add exclusions like broken or parts only, then choose your category and price range.
Tune alerts
Pick the savings level and timing you care about. Higher thresholds usually mean fewer but better alerts.
Save leads
Use the Watchlist for listings you want to compare before deciding.
Report issues
If an estimate feels wrong, report it. Those reports directly guide pricing fixes.
What does ValueSniper do?
ValueSniper watches marketplace listings for the searches you save, estimates whether a listing looks meaningfully underpriced, and helps you focus on the leads that are worth checking first.
Are price estimates guaranteed?
No. Estimates are research signals, not appraisals or guarantees. We look at comparable listings and discount clues, but you should still check condition, included accessories, seller history, shipping, fees, and current demand before buying.
Why does a listing say market signal or research lead?
That means ValueSniper found something worth checking, but the listing still needs normal buyer judgment: condition, accessories, fees, seller history, and current demand.
How often do saved searches scan?
Free searches scan less often. Premium searches follow your notification timing, from faster checks up to a daily pace, depending on what you choose in your search settings.
Why did I not get an email alert?
Email alerts only send when your search finds a strong enough match, your email alerts are enabled, and your alert method is set to email. You can still see in-app alerts from the bell and Alerts page.
How do I cancel Premium?
Go to Pricing or Settings and open the Stripe billing portal. From there you can manage, cancel, or update your subscription. Your access may continue until the end of the paid billing period.
How do I report a bad estimate?
Open any result card and choose Report price issue. That sends the listing and estimate to our admin review queue so we can improve the pricing logic.
What marketplaces are supported?
Saved searches can auto-scan eBay and Web Discovery when a Brave Search API key is configured. Check a Listing accepts many public listing URLs, including OfferUp, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Etsy, StockX, GOAT, Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, Swappa, GameStop, PriceCharting, BrickLink, Discogs, TCGplayer, and more. Pokemon TCG and Scryfall improve Trading Cards price references.
Why not scan every marketplace automatically?
Some marketplaces block automated scanning or do not offer an approved public API. ValueSniper only schedules scans from sources we can use consistently and responsibly. For blocked marketplaces, paste the listing URL into Check a Listing instead.
What should I check before buying?
Confirm the exact model, condition, photos, seller reputation, return policy, shipping cost, local pickup safety, and whether similar items are actually selling at the estimated value.
